Great opportunity for up and coming artists. This is fellowship geared toward younger artists (post 99 graduates) and includes a $5000 prize and an exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery “in conjunction with the C.O.L.A. mid-career artists’ exhibition in May 14 – July 12, 2009″

“The Feitelson Arts Fellowship award is granted to an individual who works in the following media: painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, installation and/or new genre. Artists must live and
work in Southern California. The 2009 Feitelson Fellowship is $5,000 and the winner will be awarded a solo exhibition in the Project Room of the Los Angeles Art Municipal Gallery in conjunction with the C.O.L.A. mid-career artists’ exhibition in May 14 – July 12, 2009. Artists who have been
awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts or a Bachelor of Arts degree in art prior to June 1999 are not eligible. Applicants are not eligible if they have had solo museum exhibitions or had works purchased by a museum. The selection panel’s decision will be final. Department of Cultural Affairs Employees are not eligible.”
